Because support elements (TYPE = Supp) and tee elements (TYPE = Trun or Tbra) are special elements, an element cannot be of both types. Therefore a support cannot be located within a tee. One exception is that a support without length can be placed in the middle of a tee (see also bottom of this page).
Below are some examples of a valid configuration, invalid configurations which are made valid and an invalid configuration.
Below these examples there is an explanation of how supports without length are treated.

This is a valid configuration, no changes are made.
This is an invalid configuration, but is made valid by moving the support to the left. W200/13 is reported.
Same as previous.
This is an invalid configuration, which cannot be made valid. E200/46 is reported.
Because supports without length (point supports) have no support elements they are treated differently. When a point support is located in any tee element it is moved to the beginning or the end of that element over the shortest distance.

This is a valid configuration, no changes are made.

This is an invalid configuration, but is made valid by moving the support to the left. W200/13 is reported.
This also is an invalid configuration, but the support is now moved to the right.
